If you or I bump our heads hard enough on a hunk of wood, it might smart for a while. But to get through an average day, a woodpecker might ram its head into a tree trunk at a speed of 6 or 7 meters per second some 12,000 times without seeming the least bit bothered by it. What is going on here?
things that make ya go hmmm
Overwhelming feeling of born f’d up due to unwelcome unwanted memories that I cannot control/verify/admit/accept = apathetic lifestyle & desire to randomly verbally express myself via social network filled with strangers hmmm I’m no poet even less an author from any literary perspective however skewed
I sincerely wanted to link to this one with a quote post, but I couldn’t. Every single story was too filthy.
On a very broad level, here are the lessons learned:
- Don’t put that in there!
- Don’t microwave that before you try something with it!
- Don’t substitute that for that other thing!
- For Christ’s sake, lock your door!
And you might think these’d be enough to guess what people are going to say, but you’re wrong. The human experience is a crazy trip, and sometimes it ends with a couple vomiting on a bed.
You can read the whole Reddit thread yourself, but I recommend starting with Nick’s writeup on Slacktory and then deciding if you want more.
